MUMBAI: TellyChakkar was the first one to break the news about Jay Mehta Productions rolling out a new show for Sony Entertainment Television. Now, the latest we hear that actress Avantika Hundal, best known for her stint in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and has also been part of Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya, has bagged the show to play the female protagonist.
Our sources inform that it mostly a finite series with a great storyline and it will be shot overseas, mostly in London. Apparently, the show is inspired from the Bollywood film English Vinglish where Akshay’s mother (played by Suchitra Trivedi) will be determined to learn English.
We could not get through Avantika and producer Jay Mehta for a comment.
Jay Mehta Productions have bankrolled shows like Rab Se Sona Ishq, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan, Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey, Jiji Maa, Gathbandhan and many more.
