MUMBAI: The morning of 27th December 2019 wasn't quite pleasant as the nation woke up to the news of actor Kushal Punjabi's untimely death. The actor reportedly commited suicide by hanging himself. 

Apparently, the doubt arised when his father tried reaching out to him. After several attempts when his calls to Kushal went unanswered he decided to visit him. On reaching his residence, when Kushal did not open the door his father called a key maker and when the door finally opened Kushal's father was in a state of shock as he apparently found Kushal hanging in his living room. This incident transpired at around 11pm on 26th December.

Kushal’s wife Audrey Dolhen stays along with son Kian in Shanghai. She arrived in the city yesterday. As we file this article, Kushal's last rites are being performed at Santacruz Crematorium which is attended by the fraternity and all the people who were close to him. Celebrities in the likes of Karanvir Bohra, Arjun Bijlani, Kiran Srinivas, Abigail Pandey, Sara Arfeen Khan, Karan Mehra, Chetan Hansraj, Shilpa Agnihotri, Apoorva Agnihotri among others are at the crematorium to pay condolences. 

According to our sources, Kushal's body will be electrocuted.
