MUMBIA: Bharti Singh has always made the audience roll of their seats with her natural comic instinct. She is a performer in the truest sense and the television audience also cannot have enough of her. However, Bharti recently landed herself in a controversy recently and it was very unknowingly!
Religion is taken as a very serious matter globally and looks like Bharti hurt the feelings of the Christian community.
It all transpired on Farah Khan’s web show Back Benchers which witnessed Bharti Singh's presence along with popular Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon. In a particular conversation, the trio wherein made fun of the word "Hallelujah" and the Christian community has taken serious offense to this.
"Hallelujah" is a biblical word which indicates God be praised.(uttered in worship or as an expression of rejoicing)
While Raveena and Farah already posted their apologies on social media.
Bharti, who is currently out of the country responded a tad bit late and apologized to the entire community.
Bharti wrote:
From the bottom of my heart I would like to say Sorry to my Christian brothers and sisters for hurting their sentiments. Thank you YOUR EMINENCE CARDINAL OSWALD for personally hearing my apology in the voice note(as I’m not in the country)& forgiving me.
Yours Truly, Bharti Singh
