MUMBAI: Travelling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller… said Ibn Batuta! It’s true in so many ways. Ashnoor Kaur, the young and feisty actress who portrays the character of Mini in Sony Entertainment Television’s Patiala Babes, couldn’t agree more. The young lady had a rather unique start to the new year and if you ask her, she wouldn’t have it any other way. No, she wasn’t partying or chilling with friends, she was on a road trip with her parents to Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib Gurudwara in Nanded. Turns out, it’s an annual ritual that the family keeps up with.
Said Ashnoor, “The New Year brings with it positivity, renewed hopes and aspirations. It’s the time when I personally like to count my blessings and be thankful for the year gone by. I could do this with friends, but four years back, my parents and I went on a road trip to Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib Gurudwara in Nanded and somehow we felt at peace. Since then, each year end, we go on a road trip to Nanded, soaking in the earthy sights and sounds and just take a break from our busy schedules. This year too was no different. I felt a sense of belonging with my parents around. I prayed for my family’s good health and prosperity and I also put in a word to keep growing professionally (laughs). The one day trip just helped me embrace the new year with a broad smile and open arms!”
Ashoor is not just wise but is also mature for her age. No wonder she has been winning hearts with her performance in Patiala Babes. In the show, the audience can see her taking charge of the Patiala Babes speciality restaurant as well as her little sister Arya. With the entry of a new chef Neil – essayed by actor Saurabh Raaj Jain, it remains to be seen how Mini will navigate through the hurdles of life and Arya’s attachment towards Neil.
