Ankita Bhargava in Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein

Ravi Ojha’s Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein airing on Star Plus has been doing a good job. But with Sasural Genda Phool, aired on the same channel, going off air in the near future, a few interesting characters will be introduced in this show. Buzz is that a new character, named Mallika, will be introduced. And sources inform Tellychakkar.com that Ankita Bhargava will be essaying the said role. This actress, last seen in Sony TV’s Dekha Ek Khwaab as Unnati will be seen as Aaliya’s (Deblina Chatterjee) trainer and is ex lover of Ranveer (Shaleen Bhanot). Tellychakkar.com contacted Ankita Bhargava and here’s what she said, “Yes, I am doing the show and my character is similar to that of Kareena Kapoor in Agent Vinod. She is a cop and will join hands with Ranveer to track the underworld don and will also train Aaliya, simultaneously. Over all, it’s a very crisp character." Incidentally, Narayani Shastri was the first choice for this role, but since she is busy with another Zee TV show (Phir Subah Hogi), other options were considered and Ankita, eventually, bagged it. She will start shooting for this series from 5 April 2012.
