MUMBAI: There was a special reason for the cast of COLORS’ Vidya to celebrate this week. Appreciating the efforts of the entire team on the show and marking the completion of 100 episodes, the leading pair of the show Meera Deosthale and Namish Taneja decided to have a little celebration on the set by cutting a cake.
Vidya’s unconventional story has taken the viewers on a trip down memory lane, right back to their school days. It has entertained them thoroughly and had them in splits because of Vidya’s hilarious linguistic quirks. Her love-hate relationship with DM Vivek, too, has won many hearts and kept the viewers intrigued. The fact that the show has managed to deliver key social messages to its audience is another reason why people have connected with it. The way it has shed light on the desperate plight of schools in villages has been much appreciated.
Meera Deosthale aka Vidya, who is reveling in the success of the show says, “Behind the success of every show, there is a hard-working team. This milestone is a result of many talented people coming together and working as one. I feel blessed that we have successfully crossed a milestone and I wish that we cross many more. I would like to thank all our fans for the affection and love they have showered on us. As far as my character is concerned, I have a blast playing Vidya and I am lucky to have landed such a likeable role in my career.”
Talking about the show’s successful run, Namish Taneja said, “This journey has been a very special one for all of us. It wouldn’t have been possible to reach this landmark without love and support from our fans and we are extremely grateful for that. Another reason that the show has succeeded in making a mark is the fact that it also addresses a social issue, and still beautifully connects back to the characters and story.”
