Amrita’s filmi chakkar

The ravishing beauty in Zee’s Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai, Amrita Prakash is not much seen on television. And why? Because she has bagged two Bollywood films. “I’ve signed a contract for two big banners. Post Vivah this will be my first venture,” says Amrita excitingly. We quiz her for more details but the actress is tight-lipped. “As the star cast is not finalized, I’m not allowed to speak about it. I’ll start shooting by the end of this month. One film will be ready for release by next May. As for my second project, it should release by next November,” she divulges. So what happens to your show Har Ghar…? “I don’t have much to do on the show as the tale focuses on the other two ladies, Prarthana (Rati Pandey) and Siddhi (Anchal). My role has been minimized and I may say good bye to it. Nothing has been finalized yet,” quips Amrita. So are you planning to bid farewell to television in favour of Bollywood? “I’m still open to projects on the small screen. I don’t want to quit this platform as it has made me a household name. If some interesting project comes my way I’ll definitely grab it,” she concludes. With two films in her kitty Amrita has just about arrived in Bollywood. But as for the small screen, we hope some TV producers are listening!
