MUMBAI: Actress Manasi Parekh Gohil who had her second innings after motherhood with her Bollywood debut Uri, is all set to once again don a new hat. The actress cum singer who has already dabbled with hundreds to ads, several plays, hit television shows as well as Bollywood is now all set to make her debut in her mother language, a Gujarati film, Golkeri. Speaking about her debut in the gujrati film market Manasi says, "I'm all for trying something new. Gujarati arts is not new to me as I have already done a popular play in Gujarati but yes films are completely different. This is a fun, today's day and age story which really appealed to me. I'm playing a stand up comic in the film and its the first time such a character will be shown on the big screen in Gujarati cinema. While picking up a project, I always ask myself, 'Would I go watch this in theatres or on screen'. If as an audience it appeals to me, then I know that at least I am part of content which is entertaining. The rest of course depends on our audience as we are living in a day and age where the audience has so much choice from international to regional content to choose from!"
Having danced with Mika and husband Parthiv Gohil in a song the actress shares her experience, "Yes I haven't really been part of a party number and that too a Gujarati one. It was a lot of fun! And I can't believe the song has gone viral, we are truly are touched with the response!"
