MUMBAI: The recently held Mirchi Awards honored Karanvir Bohra’s movie song ‘Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna’ as the best-recreated song of the year for a refreshing take on the old number by the legendary RD Burman and sung by Kishore Kumar & Lata mangeshkar. The song has been re-arranged by Raaj Aashoo & Aditya Dev with additional lyrics by Shabbir Ahmed and sung by the unparalleled Shreya Ghoshal.
The song features Karanvir Bohra and Priya Bannerjee romancing each other amid snow-clad mountain and river bed, following the journey of Bohra as an obsessive lover. The song has over 34 million views on YouTube alone and had created quite a stir on its release.
Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna is actor Karanvir Bohra’s debut Bollywood film, where the actor received an ample amount of accolades and praises for his portrayal of Dhruv. KV, who enjoys immense popularity on-screen and has a massive fan following, said, ‘It’s because of this song (Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna) that we made the movie.
