Mohit Kumar Jha - the man with the golden eye

Mohit Kumar Jha has a special talent. He is not only one of the most renowned directors in the realm of Hindi television industry, but a master in turning aspiring actors into stars. Director of many shows (he moved on from Hitler Didi to Jay Mehta’s next on Zee TV recently), he has single-handedly launched some of the most renowned faces in television today. Some of the names include, Kinshuk Mahajan, Jay Bhanushali, Saumya Tandon, Hunar Hali, Kulraj Randhawa, Gaurav Chopraa, Rubina Dilaik, Avinash Sachdeva, Sharad Kelkar, Ayushman Khurana amongst others. “You have to spot the right faces and then groom them. I have again taken a new face Ekta Kaul for Jay Mehta’s show. And I have a lot of expectations from her,” shared Mohit with team Tellychakkar.com when he came to our den as a guest editor. He further said that apart from direction, he even worked as journalist, but his ultimate passion has been to capture emotions and characters in the lens. “I always wanted to direct TV soaps, not films. I don’t even watch films.” He then went on to state that as a director he is very strict and likes to streamline things and maintain discipline. “Out of work, I am the coolest person. But when I work, my priority is only and only work.” He then went ahead and interviewed Sumit Vats (of Hitler Didi). Finally, he said while leaving, “I would love to come back again.
