Krishnaben inspires real-life homemakers

Indira Krishnan who plays Krishnaben in Krishnaben Khakhrawala is apparently inspiring homemakers-turned-entrepreneurs. She has been receiving a lot of mails and calls from women thanking her as her role seems to have helped them sell their wares more competently. "I get many calls from such women who prepare dhokhla, khakhra, thepla etc. They tell me the show has helped the sale of these food items. They look upto Krishnaben as their role model and it feels nice to be connected to so many women through one medium." Indira does not just inspire others but she herself has been inspired by her character as she says, "I too follow the ethics that Krishnaben has as she is against donation for admission and so am I. Recently, I had to get my son’s admission and I stood in the queue like any other parent. Apart from this I have learnt to abide by rules and also to stay calm and not panic in the face of problems, just like Krishnaben.” Hmmm, Krishnaben seems to be leading by example for everyone.
