MUMBAI: Amidst the Coronavirus lockdown, the announcement of Ramayan and Mahabharat reruns gave the audience a reason to rejoice. However, fans demanded a return of Shaktimaan as well. The superhero show was very popular in the 90s and featured Mukesh Khanna as the lead. Now, the actor told a daily that he has been working on a sequel.
He told Bombay Times that he had co-curated the content earlier and has been working on the sequel for the last 3 years. He mentioned that people’s curiosity to know what happened ahead in Shaktimaan’s story is one of the reasons why he decided to work on the sequel.
Mukesh said, 'For the last three years, we have been working towards bringing out the second edition of Shaktimaan, which is contemporary, but rooted in our values. We were working on the sequel because people wanted to know, aage kya hua. I feel whenever we return to work after this crisis, I will be in a better position to bring out the second part because the demand for it is higher than ever before.'
We are super excited to watch it; aren't you?
