MUMBAI: Jasleen Matharu is a popular name in the entertainment world. She is a singer and has also participated in reality television shows like Bigg Boss and Mujhse Shaadi Karoge
During her stint in Bigg Boss, she made headlines for her equation with Anup Jalota. The two grabbed eyeballs when they entered Bigg Boss 12 together, as a couple. Back then, Jasleen had claimed that they were dating for three years before entering the show, however, she later denied it, calling it a prank. They both revealed that the only relationship between them was that of a student-teacher. Now, recently, Jasleen’s video on her Instagram, in which she was seen wearing a chooda with sindoor on her forehead, once again sparked her marriage rumours with Anup Jalota.
Anup Jalota has now reacted to this and denied marrying Jasleen Matharu. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anup said, “Not Again! My marriage to Jasleen is news to me. I and her father are looking for a suitable match for her. I have suggested to them a Punjabi boy living in Canada. Nothing is fixed yet.” He was insistent that their relationship is platonic, and he has also said that before. “I gave a statement to you after coming out from Big Boss that I will do her kanyadaan. And I will. She is my student and daughter-like to me,” he added.
Speaking to SpotboyE, Jasleen had also clarified about her video with chooda and sindoor. She said, “I am in the mood of getting married but it's just that I haven't found the right person yet. Mere dil ki ghanti nahi baji ab tak.”
Jasleen Matharu further explained, “I was shooting a music video on the song Chupke Se from Saathiya at home. Yes, I dressed like a newly-wed girl at her honeymoon. But surely, I didn't expect that it would lead to so much chaos."
