MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar is among several other celebs who have come forward to help those who have been working hard to fight the coronavirus pandemic. Previously, the actor had made a generous donation of Rs 25 crores to the PM Relief Fund. And now, he has taken another initiative by contributing 1000 wrist bands to Mumbai Police for detecting symptoms for covid.

With this, Mumbai Police becomes the first-ever organization in the world that will be able to keep track as well as manage the health of its personnel through the bands. Maharashtra has been among the worst affected states in India due to the pandemic.
AK also contributed Rs 3 crores to BMC for the provision of PPE kits as well as other essential pieces of equipment. A few days ago, he had released a special version of the song ‘Teri Mitti’ from Kesari as a tribute to frontline workers.
