Nazim makes me feel comfortable while enacting romantic scene, says Devoleena Bhattacharjee

All quarters of the media was abuzz with Giaa Maanek’s name last week. Reason? Well, she was replaced by Devoleena Bhattacharjee to play the role of Gopi bahu. Giaa, as we all know, went ahead to sign up Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. So as a guest editor at Tellychakkar.com, I decided to call up Devoleena and ask her how she feels on bagging new role. “It feels great to be a part of Saathiya Nibhana Saathiya. I know I have got great responsibilities to fulfill as Gopi bahu but I am sure I will be able to gain all the love and blessings of the audience,” shared Devoleena with Tellychakkar.com. She further added, “The entire cast had already accepted me. I feel as if I have been working since a long time, not just a week. We all gelled really well and have become very comfortable as a unit. It’s a new beginning for me and the show.” So was she not scared or a little inhibited to take up the role? “Well, frankly speaking I didn’t get time to even think and get scared. Because it happened so fast and the day I got to know that I am doing Gopi Bahu, only one thing came to my mind which was that I have to prove myself.” Talking further about responsibilities, Devoleena averred, “Audience takes time to accept something new. So according to me, my responsibility would be to gain same love, affection and support from the fans. I promise to them that I would try my level best to gain their support and would take the show to greater heights.” So now she has new cast and co-actors. Who is she close with? “Well, everyone from the cast is very co operative and as I mentioned I gel well with everyone. My chemistry with Ahem is just amazing. He makes me comfortable while enacting romantic scenes. His acting is up to the mark and we get along really well.” I too get well with him.” Way to go... Devoleena!
