Star Couples PriNick and Virushka coming together for the ‘I for India’ Event

MUMBAI: Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar’s teamwork has bought national and international artists under one umbrella with their recent successful project of the ‘I for India’ concert. The stars reached out to the people from their homes to the viewer's screens through a virtual concert held under the banner of ‘I for India’ concert. The fund-raising event had many Bollywood and international stars come together for the cause.

Star couple’s Virat and Anushka, Priyanka and Nick Jonas were among the couples who came ahead to join hands for the cause.

Virat Kohli commented, “As we stand together in this fight against Coronavirus, many of us are filled with fear and dread of the uncertain times. But as we stay at home, there are those out there on the frontlines putting their lives at risk, making sure that we are safe and healthy. So, this is our heartfelt thanks to all the Covid-19 warriors all over the globe. We thank you; we salute you and we appreciate - all that you are doing. Please stay safe, stay healthy.”

Anushka Sharma adds, “While we may be social distancing, and that’s the requirement, I don’t think we’ve ever been more connected. People helping each other, spreading awareness just so that we can protect each other and that is the victory of the human spirit.”

Priyanka Nick Jonas also commented, “Unexpected, uncontrolled, unparalleled. The coronavirus has forged a brutal path across the world, and in the line of fire is well - you, me and pretty much everyone across the world. Lockdowns, quarantines, social distancing - yeh hain humara naya normal.Khud ko surakshit rakhne ke liye hume ek dusre se dur rehna pad raha hai. Phir bhi mann hi mann main hum ek saath hain, as always.”

The event had other major artists ranged from musicians to singers, actors to sportsperson and YouTube sensations to go along. Actors Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, 85+ artists were also the part of the biggest concert ever.
