Beat the heat with these celebrity inspired summer drinks

MUMBAI: June has just begun and while some parts of the country are going to enjoy a good rainfall, some will continue to suffer because of the scorching heat. These days when the normal temperature rises to a 47-48°C, a temperature between 35-40°C comes as a sigh of relief. And while the outside temperature is hard to bear, it's better to keep your inside cool and well prepared to tolerate the heat.

From sattu to cold coffee and some special drinks, here's how the celebs are planning to beat the heat this summer:

Aniruddh Dave: Frankly speaking when it comes to beat the heat by a drink, I believe chane ka sattu is the best thing ever, those who haven't had this day must try this. One more drink that I have enjoyed while growing up was roohafza shake.

Rishina Kandhari: Heat can make you turn into a really insane and a cranky person. It gets really annoying when it’s too hot. I have increased my water intake. I have started drinking a lot of watermelons, orange juice. And above all, I eat a lot of cucumbers with curd to beat the heat.

Harssh A Singh: I'm actually not drinking cold stuff, strangely enough, I have my own weird recipe of an evening drink that's hot, but it really cools you down and keeps you light and healthy. It's a mixture of lemongrass, ginger, black crushed pepper and Tulsi, I let it boil with water, it's not sweet so you can add honey if you want. Apparently it helps with weight loss, so I have it instead of chai and I have another cup around 7 pm.

Moin Sabri: As our body wastes energy to convert the cold water into warm water so, I prefer normal water to drink. Number of glasses is not defined because according to Ayurveda you must drink when you feel thirsty. Just be conscious of what your body's need are, as we all have to keep our immunity system strong and stay healthy. Well, I do drink chaas as it helps in digestion.

Vikas Sethi: Normally everything I drink like kokam juice, lassi, chaas, lime water, as you need to be hydrated especially during this hot weather.

Aaira Dwivedi: It is important to stay hydrated in summer, my daily intake of water is about 3.5 litres, it keeps my body hydrated and my skin also looks fresh. Another big one on my list is coconut water because it replenishes electrolytes in my body and keeps it light yet full. Apart from water, I eat fruits and some healthy fresh juices like watermelon juice, lemonade, beetroot and carrot juice with a little bit of ginger and lime in it.
These days I am making kiwi shots at home and I am super obsessed with them. Also before bed, I make sure to have one glass of warm milk.
