Splitsvilla 12 winner Shrey Mittal bags Jay Mehta’s next

Shrey Mittal

MUMBAI: TellyChakkar was the first one to break the news about Jay Mehta Productions rolling out a new show titled ‘India Wali Maa’ for Sony Entertainment Television. We also reported about Piyaa Albela fame Akshay Mhatre being roped in to play the male lead in the project.

The show is mostly a finite series with a unique storyline. Apparently, the show is inspired from the Bollywood film English Vinglish where Akshay’s mother (played by Suchitra Trivedi) will be determined to learn English.

Now, the latest we hear is that Splitsvilla 12 winner Shrey Mittal has bagged the show.

According to our sources, Shrey will play parallel lead in the show. His character will eventually turn negative with the show progressing.

We tried reaching out to Shrey but he remained unavailable for a comment.

India Wali Maa will also feature actors namely Sunil Singh, Shubhanshi Raghuwanshi and Vandana Lalwani playing pivotal roles.

Acclaimed producer Jay Mehta has produced popular shows like Rab Se Sona Ishq, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan, Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey, Jiji Maa, Gathbandhan and are currently producing Madam Sir on SAB TV.
