Reasons why Big-B’s Sooryavansham is a must-watch for the younger generation

MUMBAI: Haven’t planned your weekend yet? How about some ‘Sooryavansham’ time with children, parents, and grandparents? Bollywood blockbuster film Sooryavansham highlights tons of valuable life lessons that people could learn while watching the movie. The honesty of the virtuous son Heera (Amitabh Bachchan), the quality of self-discipline, and being morally right can be learned from Thakur Bhanupratap. For all the Gen Z kids who missed out on watching the film, can catch Sooryavansham on Sony MAX for some inspiring life lessons.

Here are some of the life lessons one can learn from Sooryavansham, which make it a must-watch film for today’s generation:

Stay Down To Earth

A unique tale of a father-son relationship, the film suggests being down to earth in every situation. In the film, Heera (Amitabh Bachchan) is portrayed as being the illiterate one amongst four siblings. He desperately falls in love with a girl named Gauri who is a well-educated woman. However, she refuses to accept him and considers herself superior to him. Later in his life when Heera becomes a successful man, Gauri comes to him begging for a job.

Real-Life experience counts too!

In the entire film, Heera is shown to be an illiterate and worthless son. He gets insulted by his father and his beloved for not being educated. However, with his real-life experience and practical knowledge, he turns out to be a good human being and proves to be a ‘worthy child’ towards the climax of the film. Hence, the sequence suggests that practical knowledge should not be discounted just because someone lacks bookish knowledge.

He starts making a living by working in a transport company. Soon, with some financial assistance and his diligence, he launches a bus service under the name of his father, which becomes a big success. And within some time, Heera becomes an affluent businessman.

Motivation for women to pursue their dreams

The film also outlines how a housewife achieves her dreams amidst several challenges. In the film, Radha (Soundarya) is an inspiration to all women who give up their careers for their families. Heera gets married to Radha who is in love with him. Radha is portrayed to be an ideal woman who does all household chores and still manages to become a district collector.
