A page from the personal diary of Devoleena Bhattacharjee Hello readers!! I am Devoleena Bhattacharjee and I hail from Assam. My father passed away in 1997 and I live with my mom, younger brother and two doggies since then. I did my schooling from GBME School, Sivasagar, Assam. I completed my graduation in Commerce (Accountancy). Apart from studies, I have learnt classical music and also learned Bharat Natyam from Kalakshetra (Chennai). I have won a lot of dance competitions, in fact, I was in the top 100 in ‘Dance India Dance’ Season 2 (Delhi). I also did lots of plays and theatres in Assam. Then, I did my jewellery designing course from NIFT. After that, in 2010, I came to Mumbai to pursue my career in acting. Mumbai has been very lucky to me. While working with Gili as a jewellery designer, I got a call from Shakuntalam Telefilms for their new show Kudesan on Colors TV. But due to a change in the channel’s policy, the show got scrapped. After that I played the role of Bani in Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto for Imagine. But as the channel shut down, the show ended abruptly. And currently, I am playing the role of Gopi bahu in a show called Saath Nibhana Saathiya. Till now my journey has been very good. I am having a blast portraying the character of Gopi bahu and feel blessed and happy the way my career is shaping up. I want to thank my mom for her love and support and also my all friends and well wishers. And lastly, I want to thank my fans. I will give my best and would want them to support me for years to come.
