MUMBAI: Celebrities are no strangers to hate comments, online trolling and abuses. While many choose to ignore them, it’s quite difficult to do so, when one is suddenly at the end of such remarks after they shared their views. Just recently, Varun Sood took to his Instagram and shared a long video lashing out at a certain award organizing company for not giving the awards to his girlfriend Divya Agarwal and her ex-boyfriend Priyank Sharma, despite them winning the awards.

He further stated that the award was given to someone else instead and that the social media account of that award show, which had conducted the polls, switched it off their comments' section to hide the results. Many people showed their support to Varun Sood, and even lauded him for praising Priyank, and acknowledging it. However, he also received a barrage of hate on social media, which he has now addressed in his Instagram story. The screenshot shared by Varun shows that he searched why he has been getting spam comments on Instagram.
The reply to it read that Instagram has a lot of bots and they interact with random accounts, which is why one sees comments on their posts even if they haven’t personally bought them. Sharing this screenshot, Varun wrote, “Dont be alarmed with all the hate comments on my profile suddenly. Some jobless m** is spending their money and getting this done.”
However, Varun Sood was also appreciated by many for speaking up. Commenting on the video about the award show organizer, one fan wrote, “We know the truth and we are proud of you,” another comment read, “That’s the truth about most of these awards, specially the social media ones. Favouritism 1 Talent 0.”
