MUMBAI: For some actors, dedication is what defines them and one such name is actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya who has been receiving rave reviews for his character DSP Ghosh in SonyLIV’s recently released original series – Undekhi. The actor who has a lot of performance driven roles to his credit is not only a versatile artist but a thorough professional at that.
During the shoot of Undekhi in Manali, Dibeyendu, unfortunately met with an accident and fractured his right hand. This obviously left the entire team worried that Dibyendu will be able to complete the schedule. But much to everyone’s amazement, he did not let this injury come in the way and landed on the set with his hand in a cast. Luckily for Dibyendu, since the location demanded him to wear a jacket, his cast was easily hidden.

He also shared that he had to take out his fracture a few days early because of a few scenes and the crew on the set did not know that . He was doing some hand exercises and that time someone gave him a high five which made him shout out of pain but that didn’t stop him from completing the sequence.
Sharing the experience of shooting with a fractured hand, Dibyendu said, “When I fractured my hand, I was concerned about how I be able to complete the rest of the shoot. But I didn’t lose hope. The team came up with an idea of me wearing a jacket the whole time which was a great way to hide the plaster. The crew was very helpful and after every scene, they used to make sure my hand was okay and it’s not painful.
He further added, "I believe in one thing. When you have dedication for something, nothing can stop you from fulfilling it. Keeping this in mind, I gave my best and I am extremely happy that the response has been so positive.”
Undekhi, a dark edgy thriller is currently streaming on SonyLIV.
