MUMBAI: After 5 years of its successful run on small screens, the makers of Sushant Singh Rajput-Ankita Lokhande led Pavitra Rishta, will now make a comeback on Zee TV’s OTT platform Zee5. Sushant became a household name with the character of loveable boy Manav. As the show is set to return to the OTT platform, the makers of Pavitra Rishta have paid a tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput. The official social media page of the OTT platform shared the video of Savita Prabhune, who played Ankita’s character Archana’s on-screen mother.
In the clip, Savita talks about how happy-go-lucky person Sushant had always been on the sets of the show. Captioning the video he wrote, “Your favourite ‘Aai’ remembers everyone’s favourite beta ‘Manav.’ In memory of Sushant Singh Rajput, Savita Ji looks back at her days on the sets of Pavitra Rishta. A couple of weeks back, Ekta had taken to Insta and shared a promo of Pavitra Rishta. She had written alongside, “After being 35 of 50 slots we were out of top 50! This show was a chance@zeetv gave us based on a show #tirumatiselvum ! Wanted to cast a boy as the lead who was doing second lead on our other show! D creative in zee was adamant he dint look d part! We@convinced them his smile wud win a million hearts.....and it did @sushantsinghrajput”
On June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput ended his life by hanging himself at his Bandra abode. It may surely be a month but his fans continue to miss the actor and mourn his tragic death
