Oh the gorgeous faces behind the masks on Rajan Shahi's ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ sets

MUMBAI : Believe it or not, the Coronavirus pandemic has added a new fashion staple in our wardrobes, yes, masks. Since the outbreak, masks got a creative touch and can be bought in various prints like Aztec, Kalamkari, or fabrics like cotton and denim. It has now become a fashion accessory, which people do not shy away from flaunting whenever they get an opportunity. And something similar happened on the sets of Rajan Shahi’s “Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke”.

TV’s favourite couple MishBir, Mishti and Abir, essayed by Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh, respectively, are back on-screen to entertain the audience after a long break of three months. And though it’s natural for them to be scared too considering the present COVID situation, they’re using this time to show-off their unique masks too. While Rhea donned a blush pink mask along with her golden saree, Shaheer kept it simple with a normal mask that he paired up with his green kurta pajama set. Don’t they look stunning, even with the masks on?

Not just masks, Shahi is ensuring that his team follows all the precautionary and safety measures to avoid the minimum risk of infection. From temperature checks to sanitising the entire sets every three to four hours, and installing hands-free sanitisers at all places, he is doing it all. There are very limited people on the set, which has increased the workload, but hey, nothing comes before safety.

Even during rehearsals and reading sessions, the actors maintain a proper distance and put their masks back on once they are done with their scene. Some actors are even happily doing their makeups and touch-ups on their own, as there are very few makeup and hair artists on-set. And no one is complaining, because what can be more important than staying healthy.
