Rohit Khurana, who won a lot of accolades for his negative portrayal of Vansh in Colors’ Uttaran, is looking forward to the all India release of the Tamil flick, Billa 2, which will open on 13 July 2012. Billa 2 happens to be the second biggest film (after Rajinikanth starrer Robot), and Rohit essays a negative role in the movie. Popular actor Ajith Kumar plays Billa, while Parvati Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah essay the female leads. Rohit Khurana plays a Goan, by name Sandeep who is a politician’s son. He is a spoilt brat, and does not think twice before doing anything. Sandeep and his politician father team up against Billa in the movie. Talking about his shoot for the movie, Rohit tells us, “I shot at Goa basically for the movie. It is a very important role; the character has been etched well.” Apart from Billa 2, Rohit’s Punjabi movie Dil Tainu Karda Hai Pyaar is set for release in September 2012. It is a triangle love story wherein Rohit plays a strict IPS officer. The story is about the two male leads and the girl, and the manner in which these three unknown people get into a relationship, and how and who gets the girls forms the crux of the story. Rohit will sport a turban in the movie for the first time. Talking about this, the actor says, “I had the option of not wearing a turban too. Honestly speaking, I was excited to see myself in that look. Above all, it feels good when you have a turban on your head; it is like respecting the culture. And the turban went well with the uniform too. I have shot for this movie in Chandigarh, and it is slated for a September 2012 release.” Rohit is likely to start shoot for yet another Punjabi movie in mid August 2012, where he again plays a negative role. Lastly, Rohit states, “I am open to a variety of roles, and I don’t want to typecast myself to playing only negative roles. I am greedy and do not mind trying different characters.” All the best… Rohit!!
