MUMBAI : There’s buzz that Parth Samthaan, who plays Anurag Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, has quit the soap. The actor apparently wants to focus on movies and digital shows from now on.
Now report has it that producer Ekta Kapoor is keen to retain Parth in the daily soap, while the channel is fine with him leaving it. A source informs a daily, “The channel is unhappy with Parth’s recent behaviour, which they feel is unprofessional. However, the production house wants him to continue on the show, and meetings are on in this regard. They are negotiating, but it seems like Parth wants to move on.”

In case Parth decides to move on, a few actors have apparently been shortlisted to replace him. The list includes names like Barun Sobti, Zain Imam, Aashim Gulati, Harshad Chopda, Vishal Aditya Singh, Vivek Dahiya and Pearl V Puri.
Erica will continue on the show. Meanwhile, rumours of Erica Fernandes, who plays Prerna on the show, wanting to quit have also been doing the rounds. However, Erica told the daily that she is not leaving the show. “I am currently very much a part of Kasauti…” she said.
