MUMBAI : Avinash Mukherjee, who is currently seen in the show Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsas Ki, is thrilled to kickstart the festivities of Ganesh Chathurthi. As he gears up to welcome bappa home, he reveals how he plans to include his friends and family amid the COVID19 restrictions.
"We will welcome bappa home with great enthusiasm like every year. The only difference is that every year we bring bappa home and have people come over. This year we won't be inviting people. We will do digital arti. I don't think fear should come in the path of faith," says the actor, who also played young Jagya in the show Balika Vadhu.
Like everyone else, Avinash is also hopeful that the vighna harta will give courage to people and help fight the pandemic. "Ganesh is our vighnaharta and I hope that once we bring Ganpati home, bappa helps us all to get rid of this difficult situation. Everyone can be happy and get back to normal lives. We don't need a new normal, let's not get accustomed to it. Let's work through it for sure but hope for the best. I think frolic and excitement will be there. It's just that we will need better care for sanitization and hygiene," says the actor.
