Honey, I'm a father now

We respect our parents but that respect is doubled when we become parents. We understand their joys and anxieties, how they must have stayed awake the whole night so that we could sleep peacefully, so on and so forth. I became a father on November 11 last year. Gauri and I were blessed with our twins, Nevaan and Katya. When I held Nevaan in my arms for the first time my whole world changed. I couldn’t believe my eyes and I was the happiest man in the world. I was also numb at the same time as I held my son and then when I held Katya, I just couldn’t take my eyes off her. My joy had doubled and I kept whispering to her, ‘Welcome, Katya’. It’s amazing, becoming a parent. Life takes a beautiful turn as the angels in your life demand your attention and love all the time and you just want to be around them, giving them all your love and everything you can. I remember how I would wait for my twins to wake up as they slept peacefully for hours. I just didn’t want to miss any chance of holding them close to me. Nevaan looks like me and Katya, like Gauri. They are changing everyday and of course, growing every minute. I am just waiting for them to call me ‘Daddy’. I can’t wait for it to happen and I don’t know how I will react when they first call me that. It’s just amazing how God plans everything, every little happiness for you and I can’t thank him enough for blessing me with my two babies.
