MUMBAI : More and more revelations are coming to light in the SSR case as the CBI takes over the investigation. Sushant Singh Rajput’s cook Neeraj was among the first few people to discover his mortal remains on June 14.
His staff members and Siddharth Pithani found him hanging when they broke the lock of SSR’s room after he didn’t respond for quite some time.
Now, amidst the investigation, a new report in India Today revealed the statement of late Sushant Singh Rajput’s cook Neeraj. The cook revealed what the actor’s sister Meetu Singh said after seeing her dead brother’s mortal remains.
According to a report in India Today, Neeraj detailed out everything that happened on the afternoon of June 14 while recording his statement.
Neeraj alleged that two locksmiths arrived at SSR’s house at around 1:30 PM. He said that since they were taking a lot of time, Siddharth told them to break the door open. Later, they were paid Rs. 2000 by Sushant’s staff member Dipesh Sawant and they left.
He further said that Dipesh came back and then opened the door of the room. The room was pitch dark and the air-conditioning was turned on. Dipesh turned the lights on and Siddharth went in and came out, quickly followed by Dipesh.
SSR's cook alleged that the actor was hanging from the ceiling fan with a green cloth around his neck. Later, he stated that Siddharth Pithani called Sushant's sister Meetu Singh and informed her about the actor’s demise.

Siddharth then asked Neeraj to fetch a knife, and they cut the cloth. Neeraj shared that Sushant’s feet were outside the bed, while his body fell on the bed.
He said that when Sushant’s sister Meetu Singh entered the room she shouted, “Gulshan tune ye kya kiya?” He also claimed that Meetu asked the men to arrange her late brother’s body properly on the bed. He mentioned that it was he who removed the green kurta from Sushant’s neck.
The cook said in his statement that the kurta was worn by the actor while performing a puja at home. He tried to resuscitate him by pumping his chest but to no avail. After that, Siddharth informed the police.
Well, the CBI investigation is still on, and we hope that there is a lead in this case soon.
So far, the CBI team has collected evidence from the Bandra Police. They have also reconstructed the crime scene in SSR's bedroom and are questioning Siddharth Pithani, cook Neeraj, and staff Dipesh Sawant.
