And today, as hoardings of Rishika's new show Love Marriage Ya Arranged Marriage on Sony Entertainment Television are put up all over Mumbai, not only her dream but also her sister and mother's prayers have got answered. Here is Rishika Mihani talking to Tellychakkar.com about her struggle for the last three years to make it big. “I am very happy and thankful to God on getting this lead role. I have actually struggled for three years to get noticed in the industry. There were times when I used to go for six to seven auditions in a day but never got any response. Some of my friends used to pretend to help me but never did anything. It was quite disheartening for me at times,” says Rishika. She continues, “People used to make harsh and sarcastic comments that I looked older to Muskaan and did not have a cute face like her. However, I have to tell you that my sister has been my biggest support and strength. It was her dream that I get a lead role, and today I am happy to have fulfilled it.” Rishika narrates the story behind her getting this role. “It was my makeup dada Ganesha who asked me to audition for this Sphere Origins show. Actually I had earlier auditioned for the role of Mansi who gets into an arranged marriage, but then bagged the role of Shivani who has a love marriage in the show.” Rishika did not inform her family even after bagging the role as she wanted to start shoot and only then disclose the news. “I have this notion that whenever I talk about anything beforehand, I don't get it. So I saw to it that I did not tell about this to my mom and sister. The day I signed the contract and started to shoot, I told them and they were extremely happy.” She recollects the pleasant day when her hoardings were put up in Mumbai. “On 21 July, when Muskaan was going for her shoot of Bhai, Bhaiya aur Brother she happened to see my hoardings and was in tears. She immediately called mom who was equally delighted. Mom fed me with gulab jamun as soon as she heard about it.” Rishika hopes and prays that she does justice to the role. "People say I waited for three long years for this particular role. I would want to thank God and hope that things fall in place. I am happy to have bagged this character because I am more like Shivani. I cannot even think of arranged marriage. I am a tomboy yet responsible.” We wish you all the very best Rishika.
