Confirmed Yash Raj, Vice President, International Operations Avtar Panesar, “We are looking at a simultaneous release in all major markets [on Wednesday], while markets like Turkey and Japan would be explored in the second phase.” In general, most Hindi films release on Thursdays in key markets like Australia, New Zealand and U.A.E. and on Fridays in UK and USA. Very rarely do Hindi films open on Wednesdays outside India, unless it happens to be Christmas or the Independence Day weekend in the US. However, YRF has decided to release the film globally on Wednesday. In fact, they had instructed their international partner-distributors about a Wednesday release, much in advance. Although it's a bit too early to talk about the screen count internationally, but it is said that Ek Tha Tiger will have one of the biggest releases in the international arena with screen counts as high as 700-800 screens.
