MUMBAI: Shweta Tiwari, who is a famous television actress, had tested positive for COVID-19 on 18th of September, 2020. On being asked regarding her not revealing the news in the public, she said to a leading daily, “I don’t see any need to announce to the world on social media that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I don’t like unnecessary attention and people flooding me with ‘get well soon’ messages. When I tested positive, I informed my housing society and the shooting, too, was stalled. That’s all that was needed. My family, friends, relatives and others concerned knew about my tests.”
When Deeya Singh was asked about the same, she said, “Our primary interest after Shweta tested positive, was to look after our unit members and check if no one else had tested positive. We did not want to instill fear in people’s minds.”
Meanwhile, Shweta has currently quarantined herself at home. She stated, “I am feeling much better now, but as per rules, I will be quarantined at home till October 4. My son has gone away to live with his father (Abhinav Kohli) and my family stays on the same floor.”
When asked how their crew and show’s makers are pulling off the project on-set in her absence, she replied, “I can’t help it. I am sure the makers will find a way.”
Currently, the wedding plot is the show’s main limelight. Shweta plays the role of Guneet in the show.
