MUMBAI: The actress has posted a long note on her Instagram account regarding this revelation while claiming to be asymptomatic.
She has asked her friends and relatives to get themselves checked in case they had come in contact with her recently. Priya requested everyone to pray for her son. And
The actress mentioned of still carrying the virus in her as a result of which she is isolating herself at home, hence was unable to shoot for sometime now.
Priya wrote, "It’s my duty to inform you all that I have been tested COVID POSITIVE. I’m asymptotic I’m doing okay! I’m following instructions provided by doctors n BMC. I’m in home quarantine Incase if any of you came in touch with me in last 2-3 days get yourself tested pls. I haven’t been shooting n was at home all this while still got this virus.. keep ur self safe n don’t forget to wear the mask. Don’t take it lightly.. N pls Do keep me n my lil one in your Prayers."
For the uninitiated, Priya has been on maternity break since her son Ardaas’s birth in November last year.
Right after her update, TMKOC co-stars like Dilip Joshi, Samay Shah, former Sonu (Jheel Mehta) and others wished for her speedy recovery.
Priya is married to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's director Malav Rajda.
