Priyamvada steps into new afternoon show

Priyamvada Kant last seen as Kanchan in Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai is ready to play a lead in Rose Movies’ Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai on the afternoon band of Colors. It has been more than two months that Srishti Arya ’s show is in making but is not getting a definite launch date. “We did shoot with Akangsha Kapil, a new face cast opposite Romit Raaj’s character. But after shooting a few episodes we felt she wasn’t suitable for the role. Then we approached few more girls and our creative head Sandip Sikcand recommended Priyamvada’s name, we did a look test with her and then she was selected for this role,” a source from the show says. It is said that the creative team is working out a few changes in the script. “We have made a few changes in the script and we will restart shooting for new episodes in next week or so. We are still working on Priyamvada’s character and look. By that time Romit who is getting married on Sunday will resume shoot with us. The launch date of the show is still not decided but the channel has informed us that they will launch it post IPL ,” our source adds.” Shraddha from Rose Movies’ says, “The second promo of the show is on and the channel has not given us any date as of now, so we are working smoothly as per our schedule.” When contacted Priyamvada,she refused to comment. Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai is the third show supposed to fill the 2.30 pm slot on Colors after the launch of their two other shows. Initially the show could not go on floors due to the delay in finalizing the cast. However when everything has fallen into place, the production house was still not getting a proper launch date, now it is said the it has been pushed ahead due to IPL and will launch in mid-April.
