Tell us something about your childhood?
I was a very shy kid in my childhood; I used to play with girls only. Soon I realised that I was a different child of God and wanted to be a girl. I told that to my parents. They were shocked, they took me to a psychiatrist but it didn’t help them. I ran away with my boy friend, ‘Nomy’. Meanwhile my mother fell very ill and I had to come back but unfortunately she died. After her death my father and I used to have fights everyday. I was totally broken when my boy friend also ditched me. But life gives everyone a second chance and now I am here.
How did you manage to get into the glam industry?
Well, life has been a journey to me. After getting ditched by my boyfriend I swore to myself that I would show this guy that I could also be someone without him. I came to Mumbai to be a part of the film industry. Before my first break in Taal, I had to spend two weeks on railway platforms and after that I started working as a bar dancer. Earlier nobody wanted to cast me but when I was appreciated in Taal then offers started following me.
Why have you been away from television after Bigg Boss?
No, I was not away from television but I was busy with some films. I cannot even think of being away from television as it regenerated my fame after Bigg Boss. And now it is as big as the big screen. I will soon be back on the small screen.
So what’s your dream role?
I would love to play a vamp. My ideal is veteran actress Manorma ji. She was a mixture of a vamp and a comedian and believe me I can be the best vamp on television ever.
Who would your choice of a life partner be?
I would love to get married to Rahul Gandhi, he is very good looking guy and a hard worker too. I will vote for Congress only because of him.
Are you still in touch with your father?
Yes, I am. Now he is proud of me. Now people want to get pictures clicked because I am his child. Sometimes he comes to Mumbai and whenever I have time I go Delhi to meet him.
Tell us about your unfulfilled wishes?
Well my first wish is that I want to be a woman completely and my second is that I want to run nude on a beach like Protima Bedi.
What are your other projects on television?
Well I am coming up with a very big and a unique reality show. I can not speak anything on that as of now. Apart from that I want to do my own reality show, ‘Get cozy with Bobbee.’
