MUMBAI: It came as a shock to the audience and the industry to know that the beloved character of Preeti Jindal in Star Plus’ show Shaadi Mubarak played by Rajshree Thakur being replaced overnight by Rati Pandey.
While there have been speculations about her fallout with the makers, Rajshree, in an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar.com reveals that the rumours are rather untrue and she had a great experience working in the show. Rajshree shared, “There was no fall out and it was my decision to quit the show as it was too hectic for me. Everyday shooting for 12 hours was difficult for me. They tried to resolve things but it wasn’t possible and it was an amicable decision.
The experience was great and the character of Preeti was very close to me and the cooperation of the other cast members was so good and it has been a wonderful journey. Manav (Gohil) himself is a wonderful human being and it was a good experience working with him as when the person paired with you is exceptionally good it is very natural that the chemistry livens up the screens. I was so comfortable with Manav that I would know how there would be a reaction so the chemistry automatically came up that way. “
We asked her as to when would be able to see her once again on-screen. Rajshree said, “I would take up a show very soon. I am not out of the television industry and it is just one project that I am out of show hopefully I will be back very soon with a project. I won’t be opting for character roles for sure but definitely would like to be a part of a project where the dates and time workout mutually. “
On Rati stepping into her shoes, Rajshree clarified, “I have heard Rati is a good actress though I haven’t followed her shows but I think Rati will do justice to the character and the show.”
