My ultimate dream is to work with Rohit Shetty, says director Bhavesh Jagad

MUMBAI: Tellychakkar loves to bring to you insights from the glitzy world of entertainment, but as they say, all that glitters is not gold! There is a lot of sweat and struggle involved behind it.

Today, we bring to you an EXCLUSIVE interview about the journey of Director Bhavesh Jagad, who has innumerable successful television shows in his name. He is currently directing the show Akbar ka Bal Birbal. Bhavesh Jagad also donned the director's hat for hit shows Phir Laut Ayi Naagin on Dangal TV and 500 episodes for Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma to name a few.

We start by asking him about his tremendous journey so far, and he recalls ''I started my journey 12 years ago with a remuneration of just Rs 100 per day for conveyance as an assistant director for the show Teen Bahuraaniya on Zee TV, after 3 months I left the show and went on to work as chief AD in the show Grihasti. After that, the train did not stop! I worked on whatever came my way so that I could polish myself with each show. I have some of the fondest memories directing Papad Pol, RK Lakshman Ki Duniya, Crime Patrol, and super hit DD show Shillong Holiday Home no.1''

We ask Bhavesh to shed more light on his work, he continues ''I have laid my hands on doing regional shows too as they give you a different idea of filmmaking altogether. Currently my show Akbar Ka Bal Birbar is running on Star Bharat. We are also in talks about moving the track of the show from comedy to a suspense thriller. I am also in talks for my Bollywood debut with a film based on Kidney Scam. I am very excited about all my upcoming projects.''

The director further talks about his hectic work schedule ''I have lived away from my family for more than a year during the shoot for Star Plus's Siya Ke Ram in Hyderabad. The show was produced by Nikhil Sinha. I have a long association with Triangle Films and I always cherish it. I remember my kids asking their mother if they would forget me? Those were tough times but it is a part and parcel of my job. I have even worked for 20 hours straight for my shows and return home after 3 days after a hectic shoot schedule. My family has always been supportive of my work.''

We ask him candidly about which director he looks up to, he gushes' No matter how successful I become in life, it would be my ultimate dream to assist Rohit Shetty, I am very inspired by his work and terrific direction."

We further question him about how he deals with starry tantrums on the sets, he smiles, ''I have always had a good bonding with all the actors and crew on the set, moreover, even after the shoot completes we make it a point to be in touch. On the set, we work as a family and so there is no question of any tantrums whatsoever''.

The terrific director signs off by quoting his ultimate motto ''Script and content are the soul of a show. The better you present it the more praise you get''.
