MUMBAI: Junaid Khan, son of superstar Super star Aamir Khan, is reportedly gearing up for his Bollywood debut. The star kid who has worked in some Bollywood films as an assistant director is getting ready to start his acting career in the film industry. Sometime back, there were certain reports that stated that Junaid Khan will be marking his debut with the Hindi remake of a Malayalam movie, reportedly produced by Neeraj Pandey. The reports suggested that he was supposed to feature in the remake of the Malayalam film Ishq. Now, according to the latest reports, the things are not the same anymore.
As per the latest report in the Times of India, it’s not Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan, but Bandish Bandits actor Ritwik Bhowmik who is about to feature in the remake of the film Ishq. The report mentioned that even as Ritwik is reportedly going to replace Junaid Khan in the movie, there is no official confirmation on the same. The report stated that producer Neeraj Pandey is rumoured to be impressed by Bhowik’s stellar performance in Bandish Bandits.

Speaking of the film, it will be directed by Shashant Shah, who has associated with movies like Bajatey Raho, Chalo Dilli, and others in the past. The report also mentioned that the film will not be an exact copy of the Malayalam version. However, there is no official confirmation from the makers about the movie. No such announcement regarding the cast has been also made as of yet.
Meanwhile, Junaid Khan had worked earlier as AD in Rajkumar Hirani’s PK. The movie featured his father Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, and late Sushant Singh Rajput in pivotal roles. Apart from that, Aamir is currently busy with the shooting of his film Laal Singh Chaddha. His co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan is done with her shoot, while Khan has some part to shoot yet.
