I will never forget the day I faced the camera for the first time in Balika Vadhu. Not only was I very nervous I was even trembling in front of the camera. This was my first break on Indian television and that too I had to face actors like Surekha Sikri, Anoop Soni and Smita Bansal. Though I had done a course in acting in an institute called Creating Characters, still facing the camera for a real shoot is completely different. There was no way I could overcome the fear.

Amidst all this fear and tension, I also had a lot of worries about Colors being a new channel and whether this show would be liked by people or not. Whether the viewers would accept me was another big question. I am grateful to my director Pradip Yadav who patiently explained every scene till I became comfortable. The kind of support I have got from him is exemplary.
For the first part of the shoot, all of us had gone to the locales in Rajasthan. While shooting there, all of us came close to each other and started knowing each other well. This helped in us forming a team, then came team spirit and today if we have been voted number 1, it is because of this.
As you are aware, Balika Vadhu is one of the most serious shows on television today. But when we are off-screen we have a blast. Within the unit we have a youngsters club consisting of Neha Marda, Avinash, Avika Gor and me. Whenever we get together we have a blast! The moment the camera is switched off, actors who were acting very seriously even a few minutes back, get into a different mood completely.
Today when I get to hear good things about my performance in midst of actors like Surekhaji, Satyajitji and Anoopji, I pinch myself to see whether I am dreaming or not. It has almost been a year since I have been playing Suguna and am enjoying it thoroughly.
Very soon I will be going beyond Sphere Origins and take up some other shows. I have already signed a show with Hats Off Production and I hope even that experience turns to be good.
