Deblina Chatterjee to play the female lead in Tujh Sang... Sajna?

A few days ago Tellychakkar.com reported that Creative Eyes’ Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna, on Sahara One, is set to take a 20 to 23 year leap. As seen in the show, Amrapali Gupta is seen playing the role of the female lead Sonali. But post the jump sequence, Sonali’s entire family, including her will die in an accident. Now, with the death plot, of course the creatives will bring in a new face to play the female lead after the leap. And we have learnt that Deblina Chatterjee, who was last seen in Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein on Star Plus, has been approached for the same. In all probability, she will be taking up the role. As per a reliable source, the production house finalized on Deblina after a lot of search. However, there is yet another development. We have heard that Akshay Sethi, who was earlier finalized to play the lead, in no longer a part of the project. Hence the search for the male lead will start once again. When Tellychakkar.com got in touch with Deblina, she said, “Yes, I have been approached to do the show but nothing has been finalized yet. Hence I wouldn’t want to talk about it.” We also hear that veteran actor Amit Behl is being approached to play the father of one of the leads in the show. Amit remained unavailable for comment. The leap is said to take place on 3 September (2012).
