MUMBAI: Zee TV’s recently launched fiction show, Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare has already become an audience favourite, courtesy the impeccable comic timing of the actors and the fantastic portrayal of relatable characters like Koel (Shamin Mannan), Dulari (Jyoti Sharma) and Ram (Nikhil Khurana). Having kept the audience hooked with fresh and intriguing twists and turns, viewers recently witnessed drama surrounding Ram and Koel’s wedding, which was stopped in the nick of time by none other than our favourite, Dulari. While Dulari might have got Ram’s eyes off Koel temporarily, a lot of drama is set to follow.
While Koel is keen on marrying Ram in Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare, off screen our beautiful Shamin Mannan is married to the love of her life, Atul Kumar. They've been married for nearly three years and life is blissful according to our star heroine. With Karwa Chauth around the corner, everyone has been keen to know how would she celebrate it her husband? Well, Shamin celebrates Karwa Chauth in her own very unique way.
For the uninitiated, the actress believes in equality and she loves all the dressing up as well as the fun & frolic that comes with the festival. While she’s extremely spiritual and deeply adores the essence of the festival of Karwa Chauth, her thoughts are quite modern and worthy to take note of! As Shamin Mannan who plays the role of Koel in Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare shares, “Karwa Chauth is a festival of love and selflessness. Keeping a fast and praying for the long life of one’s lover is an extremely thoughtful and adorable gesture. Having said that, I would like to believe this gesture is exchanged between both people involved in the equation irrespective of the gender. Equality in a relationship is important and even the guys should fast for the long life of their women, and I’m glad that these days more and more men are keeping the Karwa Chauth fast as well. Couples doing it for each other is a beautiful thing.”
Furthermore, talking about keeping a fast herself, she added, “I usually don’t fast for any festival. I have kept a fast for Karwa Chauth years ago for my then boyfriend, who’s now my husband. The fact that my man returned the gesture and kept a fast for the longevity of my life is the kindest gesture I received, and I loved it mostly because it made the fact clear that he also believes in equality. Now I have evolved spiritually, and for me authenticity matters more than anything else. I definitely love the festival and the opportunity to dress up and participate in the fun part of it. So, this year, after shooting for Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare, I will head home and spend some quality time together.”
While Shamin celebrates Karwa Chauth in her own way, a new twist in Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare is going to leave everyone at the edge of their seats. In the upcoming episodes, viewers will witness how a girl will enter Ram and Dulari’s life and address them as her parents.
