MUMBAI: Today is an important day in the SSR case, as a Bombay court will be hearing the petition of actress Rhea Chakraborty's allegations on late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters Meetu and Priyanka Singh.
Rhea had alleged that a fabricated prescription was used to help SSR procure medicines banned under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) only a few days before his suicide in June 2020, and the sisters should be questioned about the same.
The Mumbai Police also submitted the affidavit to the Mumbai High Court claiming that they were 'duty-bound' to file an FIR and the case 'disclosed commission of the offence'. The Mumbai cops submitted the same and sought dismissal of the petition filed by the late actor's sisters.
Now, Rhea’s lawyer has released a statement where he said that it's up to the nation to decide who is carrying out their duties according to the law. He said the FIR filed by Rhea Chakraborty was for a specific offence of having forged a prescription and administered illegally, medicines which were already communicated to Sushant Singh Rajput by Priyanka Singh in her messages on 8th June 2020.

He also stated that when SSR expressed his inability to obtain them without a prescription as communicated by him in his messages, the sister obtained a fraudulent prescription form a known doctor who is not a mental health expert. Without any consultation, he prescribed medicines falling under NDPS Act by falsely depicting that SSR was an OPD registered person when the actor was very much in Mumbai.
Satish also alleged that it was administrated to him when the family was aware that he was addicted to drugs and was under treatment in Mumbai.
He also mentioned that SSR was consulting 5 different doctors in Mumbai and was advised to abstain from narcotic substances as he was being treated for mental health issues. On June 8th, he refused to take the medication by these five doctors and didn’t want to listen to Rhea and her advice. That’s why she left his home on June 8th 2020.
Well, the Bombay High Court will be hearing the matter today, and we will know its decision in some time.
