MUMBAI: As a part of the exciting content extravaganza that Zee TV is offering its viewers during this festive month, the channel recently presented a fresh fiction offering, Apna Bhi Time Aayega. The show follows the inspiring narrative of a young daughter (Rani) of the head staff in an affluent family of Jaipur, who refuses to be tied down by her humble roots. The show will see her breaking free from the shackles of her background as she chooses to carve her own destiny. The family drama also debunks the deep-rooted class system and questions its unwritten rulebook of ‘aukaat’ in our society, which almost curtails the chances of the lower strata in taking charge of their destiny and rising above their means.
While Anushka Sen (Rani) and Tannaz Irani (Maharani Rajeshwari Singh Rajawat) are grabbing everyone's attention with the fantastic portrayal of their characters, little does anyone know about the hardwork that these two leading women put in for Apna Time Bhi Aayega. Prior to the commencement of their shoot, they left no stone unturned to get a grasp over the different dialects of the Hindi language that they’re seen speaking on the show. While Tannaz Irani had to learn how to speak in ‘Shudh’ Hindi in order to make her royal character seem more authentic, Anushka Sen focused on learning more about the local Hindi dialects of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The actors used their own methods to prepare for their characters, but surely the entire process was not a piece of cake for either of them. As Anushka Sen who plays the role of Rani in Apna Time Bhi Aayega shared, “Being a Bengali, Hindi and its different local dialects is not my strong suit. But my father helped me a lot in bringing authenticity to the role of Rani, who belongs to a small village in Uttar Pradesh. Hailing from Bihar, my father has a great grasp over the local Hindi and Bhojpuri dialects. So, he helped me prepare for my role and bring about that authenticity in my accent. He was extremely happy when he learned that I bagged the lead role in Apna Time Bhi Aayega and hence, he wanted to help me out in any way possible. The opportunity to prepare for the role with his help made both of us feel deeply connected with our roots and I hope the audience will give equal love to the character as they do to me.”
Sharing her experience, Tannaz Irani also added, “I was extremely nervous when I got the role of Maharani Rajeshwari since I have never played a character like this before. While I was anxious, I was also excited at the same time. But what I definitely knew was that it would take me a lot of effort to step into the shoes of a Maharani. I made sure I got the Apna Time Bhi Aayega script well in advance so that I can prepare for the role and get accustomed with the kind of Shudh Hindi that the character demands. Even today, I go through the script several times a day only to make sure that my accent and pronunciations give a royal vibe. Day in and day out I repeat my lines and read them out loud to achieve perfection.”
While Rani and Maharani Rajeshwari have surely aced their respective accents, a lot of unpredictable twists and turns in Apna Time Bhi Aayega will keep the viewers hooked in the upcoming episodes. We recently saw how Rani passed her exam with good numbers and she believed that Rajeshwari would give her a good job. However, she had other plans for Rani and offered her Ramadheer’s place, hiring her as the head maid. While this upset Rani terribly, she continues to try and convince Maharani Rajeshwari to give her another job. What will happen next?
