Imlie is a daily soap series on Star Plus. It is a remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Ishti Kutum. Produced by 4 Lions Films, it stars Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani and Mayuri Prabhakar playing the lead roles. It is scheduled to premiere and hit the television screen on 16 November.

According to the latest reports, the show is going to be a love-triangle story that involves complex relationships.

Recently we got into an EXCLUSIVE conversation with Gashmeer Mahajani to shed some light on his character in the show

Gashmeer reveals, ''My character name is Aditya Kumar Tripathi he is very much the way I am, a lot of traits in him are similar to how I am in real life so finding the character did not take much time for me. Aditya is a very down to earth guy, who has his roots intact and that's what connects me to this character.''

On why he took up this role, Gashmeer says, '' It will be my first daily soap as I have been doing Marathi movies so far. I took up this character because I could connect with the real and intense personality, there is no melodrama attached to Aditya Tripathi. His journalistic endeavors land him up with Imlie who is a girl from the interiors. It would be interesting for the viewers to discover how two people from very different walks of life could feel for each other.''

On shooting in the times of Pandemic, '' I am not at all anxious, I feel life has to move on, we need to learn to live with it. There is a lot of precautions taken on the sets like checking the oxygen levels and time to time sanitizations but I feel at the end of the day, you need to take care of yourself on your own as no matter how careful you are still have the chance of contracting the virus.''

Well, this surely raises up our excitement for Imlie and it would be interesting to see the viewers response to it
