The Supreme Court delivered its verdict on Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab's plea against his death sentence today. According to the verdict, the lone survivor of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, would hang till death. Tellychakkar.com called up some TV stars to ask them of their say on the verdict. Adaa Khan, who is currently seen in Amrit Manthan, said, “I am happy that finally the verdict is out. Kasab has killed so many innocent lives. He should have been subjected to hanging the very next day. I don’t know why the courts dragged the matter for so many years. I hope the date of Kasab’s hanging comes fast. And finally, let’s pray that such attacks never happen again.” Karanvir Bohra, who is seen as Viraj in Life Ok’s Saubhagyavati Bhava, averred, “Firstly, I am upset that the Supreme Court verdict took so much of time in spite of knowing that he was the culprit who had killed so many innocent lives. I believe that he should have been subjected to hanging then itself. After all it was a black day in our history. Then the case would have been different than hanging him now when our anger has cooled down a lot. Kasab is connected to so many people’s emotions. And now the crux of the matter is that still the date of his hanging has not been finalized yet; I don’t know how long they will take to come out with the date. This is the worst part of our system.” Observed Hunar Hali, “I have no reaction towards it. I think we are lacking behind because of our system. That culprit should have been subjected to hanging that very moment. I have no hope or expectation from our authorities. Our system is so slow that now I am disgusted about it. Everything works under the table. I am sure they will drag it more and pamper him with more luxurious items.” I don’t know why it took so much of a time to come out with the verdict. He should have been killed four years back only. People who don’t have respect for their country, should be hanged, said Karan Kundra. Lastly, Siddhant Karnick added, “Well I am glad that justice has been done finally. He was living proof of terror for India. Every criminal should be given an eye-to-eye. At last, after four years he will be hanged.”
