Did you know? Ajay Devgn was not the first choice for the character of Kali In 'Kaal'?

The character of Kaali, played by Ajay Devgn in the movie Kaal, was loved by fans, but here is the unknown fact about it.

MUMBAI: Kaal released in the year 2005. It was produced under the banners of Dharma Production and SRK’s Red Chilies and was one of its kind at the time. The film was loved by fans all over. Directed by Soham Shah, it starred Ajay Devgn in the titular, negative role, John Abraham, Vivek Oberoi, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Vishal Malhotra, and Kushal Punjabi.

This supernatural thriller received mixed responses from the critics. It was the talk of the town owing to the horror sequences though. Moreover, how can we forget the character of Kaali, played by none other than Ajay Devgn? He was loved for his role, but did you know that Ajay was not the first choice for this character?

It was said that before Ajay, the role of Kaali was offered to Nana Patekar, who rejected it. Then, the makers moved towards Saif Ai Khan. But they reportedly faced rejection from Saif too. After Saif, the role was then pushed to Shahid Kapoor, who also said no to the role. In the end, Ajay was seen in the role of Kali Pratap Singh.
