Now the latest buzz is that major OTT platforms MX PLAYER, SONY LIV and HUNGAMA PLAY are coming up with a major release that surely would stir up a political debate in the country.
Inspired by true events, as the poster proclaims, ‘Noise of Silence’ is being billed as Bollywood’s first film on the controversial exercise of updating the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in which lakhs were left out in Assam.
Director Saif Baidya says it was made with the sole intention to portray the suffering of lakhs of people in Assam who were excluded from the NRC list and are running from pillar to post to prove their roots.
The web series stars Firdaus Khan, Puja Jha, Hrishie Raj, Ajay Kundal and Sayantika Nath in the lead roles.
The show is produced by The See Productions and is shot entirely in Tripura before the lockdown hit the country.
