2020 has been the year of OTT platforms and time and again we were treated with stupendous content on the platform.
Now according to our sources, a web series based on the plight of the Kashmiri Pandits is slated to hit the OTT giant MX PLAYER.
The web series will be titled Sri Nagar and will be directed by Sanoj Mishra who is also all set to direct the Second Film on Sushant Singh Rajput’s Life to be Titled ‘Sushant’.
The film will showcase the struggles faces by the Pandit community in Srinagar at the time of militancy.
Now the latest buzz is that veteran actors Omkar Das and Zakir Hussain will play pivotal characters in the show.
Omkar Das made his Hindi film debut as a lead in Aamir Khan productions' Peepli Live in 2010. Later he performed in the Rajasthani language film Taawdo The Sunlight, he also acted in Bollywood film Newton starring Rajkumar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi. In 2019, he acted in the Malayalam film Unda alongside Mammootty.

Zakir Hussain is a veteran film actor who is known for his negative and comic roles. His best-known performances include those of Rashid in Ramgopal Varma's 2005 film Sarkar, Shardul in Sriram Raghavan's 2007 film Johnny Gaddaar and Prakash Rao in Rohit Shetty's Singham Returns.
Well, this surely looks like a series worth waiting for!
