Sanjay Kohli feels it is amazing that everyone associated with FIR is a star today

The ‘Golden Era’ of television wherein shows like Balaji Telefilms’ Hum Paanch thrived on Zee TV for eleven long years and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus for eight years are gone!! In the present scenario, if a show works for a minimum of one year it is regarded as a success story. And amidst this flourishes Edit II Productions’ FIR on SAB TV which has now been running for seven years.

Isn’t this a feat in itself? Tellychakkar.com had a hearty chat with the producer of FIR, Sanjay Kohli. “I am very happy and delighted that FIR is running for the last many years. There have been many ups and downs during this long journey but the important thing is that we have seen the show grow. We have a very creatively inclined team which has stood up to the potential every time. I am thankful to everyone who has been associated with the show.” Sanjay talks of the challenges encountered by the production house in terms of replacements, “The show has seen many replacements. Dilip Joshi who essays the role of Jethalal in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was part of FIR. Amit Bhatt who plays Champaklal was also part of our show. Shiv Pandit left the show as he bagged a movie. Then came Aamir Ali and it is amazing to note that all associated with FIR are stars today.” He goes on, “I was confident about the subject and the script from the beginning. I would like to praise Kavita Kaushik as she has been associated with our show from day one. Talking about our future plans, we are trying to come up with more shows. Last but not the least; I would want to thank SAB TV for believing in us. And these seven years have been quite glorious for us.” We wish FIR reaps rewards for many more years to come…
