Priyanka Chopra to play female lead in Milan Talkies

We all know that after making several socio-political films, Tigmanshu Dhulia has decided to make his first 'love story’ titled Milan Talkies. When Imran Khan was signed on to play the male lead, it was rumored that Sonakshi Sinha will be teamed up with the actor. However, it is now learnt that it would be Priyanka Chopra who would play the female lead. When asked Balaji Motion Pictures CEO Tanuj Garg, initially refraining to talk on the matter, he argued, “Since Sonakshi was never signed, the question of replacing her doesn't arise.” Later he mellowed down and said, "We are speaking to someone and will make a formal announcement once ready." But sources are of the firm belief that Priyanka has indeed accepted the offer to star opposite Imran Khan in the film. The crux of the story of Milan Talkies is that though the communication has become easy, thanks to mobile phones, it is still very difficult to fall in love in small towns. Interestingly, Dhulia had earlier revealed that his film would be a small town romance.
